Software

Business Web App Development

Software for the workflows that actually run your business: requests, approvals, jobs, records and reporting in one system.

Invoice raised in your accounting softwareJust now

Your process already exists. It runs on email threads, a shared spreadsheet and someone's memory. Business web app development from Superstack turns that process into software: requests, approvals, jobs, records and reports in one browser-based system, built for the operations manager tired of asking where things are up to.

The problem

the process that runs on email

  • A repair request starts as an email, gets forwarded around and dies in someone's inbox.
  • Someone approved that spend, but the proof is in an inbox that left with the manager.
  • Every job has three versions of the truth: the spreadsheet, the email thread and what the technician remembers.
  • Managers spend their days asking staff for status updates, because no screen shows them.
  • Month-end means days of copying figures out of emails and spreadsheets, and the numbers still get questioned.

What Superstack builds

business web app development around your process

Every operational process has the same bones: a request, an approval, the work and a record that it happened. We build the workflow engine first, then the screens, forms and reports around it, in your words.

Example workflow

A tenant submits a repair request. The engine routes it to the right property manager, who approves it from their phone. The system assigns the task to the contractor for that trade, who completes it with photos and a signature. The report refreshes and the draft invoice appears in your accounting software on its own. People make two decisions, approve and confirm. The software does the rest.

  1. 1
    Request submitted
  2. 2
    Routed to approver
  3. 3
    Approved
  4. 4
    Task assigned
  5. 5
    Completed with evidence
  6. 6
    Report updated automatically
  7. 7

Integrations

Your accounting software receives the invoice and returns payment status. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace provide sign-in and send the notification emails. Twilio sends SMS approvals and reminders. Your CRM, payroll and job systems connect through their APIs, so nothing is typed twice.

Any system with an API connects. Click a logo to visit them.

Add AI when it actually makes sense

AI is optional here. The workflow engine does the heavy lifting without it, and where AI helps, a person still makes the call. See how we use AI and its place in business process automation.

Web app, mobile app and customer portal

Web app

Coordinators, approvers and managers raise and route requests, approve, assign tasks and read the dashboards here. It is the internal web application the office runs the process from, in any browser.

Mobile app

Field staff and contractors get their task list, the job details and the completion form on a phone, with photo upload and a signature box. Approvers get a one-tap approve button.

Customer portal

Tenants, clients or residents submit requests, watch the status change and download the completion report without phoning the office. One database sits under all three, so everyone sees the same record.

FAQ

Custom web app development is the overview of everything we build in a browser, from products to portals. This page is narrower: operational software for business processes such as requests, approvals and jobs. If your problem is a process that runs on email, start here. If you are not sure yet, start there.

We map it with the people who run it, not from a job description. In a workshop we walk one real request from the moment it arrives to the moment it is reported, noting every handoff, approval and workaround. That becomes a one-page process map, which becomes the scope for the build.

Yes, and we recommend it. Pick the process that hurts most, build the workflow for that team, and let the rest of the business watch it work. Because the engine, roles and reporting are shared, adding the next department means adding its stages and forms, not starting a second project.

Yes. Spreadsheets import directly: we map each column to a field, clean duplicates and load a trial import your team can check. Email is messier, so we usually import the open items and recent history as records with the original messages attached, and leave the archive where it is, searchable.

No. This is a custom business application NZ businesses own outright, not a per-seat subscription, so adding a contractor, a new site or a whole department costs nothing in licences. Hosting costs track usage, and you hear from us before they climb. Roles control what each new user can see and do.

Yes. Every screen is responsive, and the tasks people do in the field, such as completing a job, adding photos or approving a request, are designed for a phone first. Where staff work without signal, the mobile app stores the completion offline and syncs it later. Approvers act from the notification.
