Admin Dashboard Development

Control users, data, content and settings yourself, an admin panel built for your application, not a generic template.

Report exportedJust now

Superstack's admin dashboard development is for businesses that run a custom app and are tired of paying a developer for every data change. You get a custom admin interface for your application: staff manage users, fix records, publish content and change settings themselves, with every action logged.

The problem

waiting on a developer

  • Changing a customer's email or fixing a price means raising a ticket with our developer and waiting.
  • No proper way to add staff, set their access or shut them off when they leave.
  • A new price list takes days to appear because someone has to code it in.
  • When a record looks wrong, nobody can tell who changed it, when, or what it said before.
  • One person edits the live database directly to get things done, and we all hold our breath.

What Superstack builds

admin dashboard development for your app

We start with the changes your team keeps asking a developer for. Each becomes a screen in a back-end admin dashboard built for your application, enforcing the same rules your app does. The database stays behind the panel.

Example workflow

A support manager signs in, searches for every customer on a plan you are retiring, selects them all and moves them to the new plan in one action. The panel logs each change with her name and both values, then emails the affected customers. She exports the list for finance. She decides which plan and which customers. The panel does the rest.

  1. 1
    Admin logs in with 2FA
  2. 2
    Searches a record
  3. 3
    Bulk updates a batch
  4. 4
    Change logged
  5. 5
    Affected users notified
  6. 6
    Report exported

Integrations

The panel sits on your application's database and API, reading and writing the same records your app uses, so nothing needs syncing. Staff sign in with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. Your accounting software connects for finance views: an admin sees invoice and payment status beside the customer record.

Any system with an API connects. Click a logo to visit them.

Add AI when it actually makes sense

AI is optional. Most admin panels work well without it, so we add it only where it saves real clicks. See how we use AI and business process automation.

Web app, mobile app and customer portal

Web app

Your office team does most admin work here: adding users, editing records, publishing content, clearing queues and running exports. Roles decide which screens each person sees and what they can do.

Mobile app

Managers approve a queued listing, reset a locked user or flip a feature switch from their phone when something comes up after hours. The same roles and 2FA apply there.

Customer portal

Your app's users update their details, reset passwords, download invoices and manage subscriptions themselves, taking those jobs off your admins. All three share one database, so an admin's edit reaches the user at once.

FAQ

Yes. Most of the admin panel development NZ businesses bring us is for an app that already works but has no safe way to change its data. We connect to your current database and API, so the panel edits the same records your app uses while your developers keep working on the product.

Yes. Two-factor authentication is part of every panel we build. Make it compulsory for everyone or just for roles that touch money. Staff use an authenticator app or an SMS code, and if your team signs in with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, the panel inherits the rules you set there.

As fine as your business needs. Permissions work at three levels: which screens a role can open, which actions it can take, and which records it can see, such as only customers in its region. A support agent edits contact details but not pricing. A contractor sees one client's records only.

Yes. Every field has validation, so the panel catches a typo in a date or price before it saves. Destructive actions ask for confirmation, and deleted records go to a recycle bin. The audit log lets you trace and reverse any mistake, and staff see only the screens their role allows.

It depends on how many tables and roles the panel covers and whether your app has an API. Superstack Start is quickest, because user management, data tables and the audit log already exist and only need configuring. Content management, moderation queues and integrations add time. We give you a timeline after seeing your app.

Retool suits a developer assembling internal screens quickly. We build admin panels for people who are not developers: the screens use your app's language, the rules match your business, and no per-user licence grows as you add staff. You own the code, so nothing depends on a third-party platform's pricing or future.
