Items, SKUs and barcodes
Every item gets one record: your SKU, the supplier's code, a barcode and the unit you count in. A plumber scans a pack of copper fittings with a phone and sees the item, the quantity and which van holds the rest.
Software
Quantities, locations and movements, including the stock in your vans, with reorder points, stocktakes and consumption per job.
Most stock systems assume a warehouse. Superstack builds inventory management software NZ service businesses run across the store room, the vans and the jobs that use the stock. You get counts you can trust, reorders raised in time, and every fitting charged to the job it went into.
stock in vans, not a warehouse
inventory management software for vans and jobs
We start where your stock actually sits: the store room, the vans and the jobs that consume it. Then we build a custom inventory system around your item codes, locations and reorder rules.

Every item gets one record: your SKU, the supplier's code, a barcode and the unit you count in. A plumber scans a pack of copper fittings with a phone and sees the item, the quantity and which van holds the rest.

Each van is a location, like a shelf, a bin or a site container. Stock management software built for warehouses cannot tell you the valve you need is in a van across town. Yours shows which van, before anyone buys another.

The system records every movement with who, what, when and where: goods in from a supplier, a transfer to a van, unused parts coming back. A storeman loads a van by scanning each item across, and the count updates at once.

Set a minimum per item per location. When the store room drops below it, the system drafts a purchase order for the office to check and send. Van minimums work the same way, so a van restocks before it runs short.

Stocktakes happen on a phone, not a clipboard. Staff open the van doors, scan each item and type the count. The inventory tracking app shows the expected figure beside the counted one and lists every difference for a manager to approve.

A technician uses a part on a job and ticks it off the job sheet on their phone. The item comes off the van's count and lands on the job as a cost and a chargeable line. The invoice carries every fitting.

Each item remembers which suppliers stock it and what you paid last time. When a merchant's price creeps up, the buyer sees it on the next purchase order, not at year end. Job costing uses the price you actually paid, not a guess.

Reports show stock on hand by location, slow movers, what each van carries and what each job consumed. Stock values flow to your accounting software, purchase orders go to suppliers and job consumption reaches your job management system, so nobody keys a figure twice.
The storeman scans each carton in when the delivery arrives. Loading a van is another scan: the van's count rises as the store room's falls. The technician ticks off the parts used and the system deducts them from the van. When an item drops below its reorder point, the system drafts a purchase order. A person checks and sends it, then scans the goods in on arrival.
Your accounting software receives stock values, purchase orders and supplier bills. Unleashed syncs items and quantities if you keep it. Shopify and WooCommerce orders deduct stock at once. Supplier catalogues feed item codes and prices, and your job management system sends back the parts used.

AI is optional. Counting, moving and reordering stock need none of it. We add it only where it removes a manual job. See how we use AI and business process automation.
Learns how fast each location uses an item and suggests when to order.
Flags the items and locations where stock keeps vanishing between counts.
Staff photograph an unlabelled part and the app matches it to an item.
The office runs purchasing, approves stocktake differences, sets reorder points and reads reports in the web app. Managers see what every van and site holds right now.
Technicians and store staff scan barcodes, transfer stock to their van, record the parts used on a job and run stocktakes on their phones, with or without signal.
Suppliers log in to see open purchase orders, confirm delivery dates and update prices, which feed your item costs. All three share one database, so a confirmed delivery shows everywhere at once.

Quickest start
We customise an existing Superstack inventory module with your items, locations and reorder rules, when a reliable count is the main need.
Most common
We combine inventory with job management, purchasing and a supplier portal, so consumption per job comes off one shared database.
Fully bespoke
A fully bespoke stock system for serial-numbered parts, batch and expiry tracking, consignment stock or a large van fleet.
Yes. The mobile app uses the phone's camera to read the barcodes on supplier packaging, so most items need no relabelling. We print labels with your SKU for loose parts and kits. A scan brings up the item, the quantity at that location and the last movement, ready to transfer, count or consume.
Yes. Vehicles are the reason this page exists. Each van, ute or truck is a location with its own count and minimums. Loading the van is a transfer, using a part on a job is a deduction, and the stocktake happens at the tailgate. The office sees every vehicle without ringing anyone.
Your accounting software's built-in inventory suits a simple product list with no locations. Unleashed is a capable warehouse tool, but vans and job consumption sit outside its design. Ours is stock control software NZ service businesses run from the van: built around your locations and jobs, and connected to your accounting software or Unleashed, not fighting them.
Yes. Shopify and WooCommerce are the stores we connect most. A web order reserves stock when placed and deducts it when shipped, so the site never sells what the shop floor sold that morning. Stock levels push back to the store, and a product that runs out shows as unavailable online.
Yes. Every site, store room, container and vehicle is its own location with its own count and reorder levels. Transfers between sites show as they happen, so a branch manager sees what is on the way. Reports roll up by site or across the business, and roles limit staff to their own locations.
Every movement is a scan, not a memory, and consumption comes off the job sheet the technician already fills in. Cycle counts cover a few shelves or one van each week instead of one big stocktake, and a manager signs off every difference. Errors surface at the next count, not at year end.
